The New Depression

The other day, my friend Zane said that he was going to start dressing like a man during the 1930s Depression era (which actually doesn’t differ much from his current style) to mirror the floundering economy. His remark corresponds really well with this week’s Bill Cunningham’s “On the Street” feature: The Mark of a Gentleman. For myself, I’m going to hunt down some long wool skirts and a hat that doesn’t make me look like a young Asian boy.
